Schedule 1 special customers update

Schedule 1’s long-awaited Special Customers update is finally here, marking the arrival of the latest major update for the game. This update brings four different groups of traveling customers who will arrive in Hyland Point on an occasional basis, purchasing large quantities of product. Each customer type also has their own preferences when it comes to product too, so if you keep these in mind, you can make some serious profit with these bulk orders.

In addition to this new major function, there have also been a handful of other new things included in this content update. This includes a new laundering business, a big new wave of cosmetic items, new NPC behaviours, and general gameplay updates and improvements. Here’s a complete breakdown of everything new in the Special Customers update for Schedule 1 patch v0.4.7.

    • An AvatarObject can have several ‘layers’ and ‘attachments’ associated with it.
    • AvatarSettings removed and replaced with NakedAppearance + Outfit.

    • Taco Ticklers: 8000 -> 12000
  • Made the corporate plaza a bit bigger.
  • Modified several NPC schedules to work with the new Hyland Medical interior.
  • Improved how NPC ragdolls work so that the physics components are not created until they are actually needed, preventing unnecessary physics overhead.
  • Tweaked the wording of several conversations and NPC dialogue.
  • Refactored the system responsible for controlling NPC walk speed.
  • Stored items are now pooled instead of instantiated and destroyed, mitigating stuttering in late-game saves with many employees.
  • Optimized how icons are generated and saved for mixed products.
    • This should result in several-hundred megabytes saved in memory use for late-game saves.
  • Improved the fire effect in the burning barrels.
  • Cleaned up some NPC code.
  • Cleaned up some cutscene code.
  • Removed some unused textures from the terrain.
  • Fixed several trash LODs to reduce pop-in.
  • Disabled an unneeded quest stage in ‘Mixing Mania’.
  • Optimized graffiti undo memory use.

  • Fixed physics props falling out of sync when thrown in multiplayer.
  • Fixed various spelling/grammar errors in NPC conversations.
  • Fixed dress shoes clipping with feet.
  • Refactored sleeping logic.
  • Fixed frame drops/stuttering when pouring water or additives into a pot or grow bed.
  • You can no longer name a newly created mix the same as an existing item.
  • Fixed NPC-driven vehicles failing to detect obstacles when they are in ‘kinematic mode’.
  • Fixed rounding issue in tree rendering code.
  • Fixed NPCs sometimes not facing the right direction for certain behaviours.
  • Fixed ‘I’m stuck’ button teleporting vehicles to the wrong location in the prologue.
  • Fixed contacts app viewport sometimes being incorrectly positioned in the prologue.
  • Fixed several hairstyles clipping with hats.
  • Fixed empty ‘ingredients’ tab in the hardware store.
  • Fixed skateboard input prompts remaining visible after getting off the skateboard.
  • Fixed avatar impostors being incorrectly positioned when the avatar is ragdolled.
  • Fixed generic cardboard box stored items having incorrectly scaled icons.

What’s Coming Next for Schedule 1?

In the official Special Customers update announcement, TVGS has also mentioned that the team has been hard at work on two more additional updates alongside the Special Customers content, and both of these updates will be delivered throughout the remainder of 2027.

The team has also brought on a new artist to give everything a visual lift and refine quality as they move towards more dramatic updates. TVGS stated that following this, they will be in a good position to execute the first map expansion.

This could mean that sometime in 2027 we get some news about a new area of Hyland Point to explore. Who knows what kind of businesses, customers, properties, and even products await?
