How to Get Past the Red Thread Barrier in Phantom Blade Zero

In Phantom Blade Zero, the red thread blockade will stop you from moving any further, creating a pesky annoyance. Luckily, there is a way you’ll can force it to open up and let you progress forward.

First, turn left from the blockade and use the chain to swing across to the other ledge, as seen in the screensho below:

Now continue following the path forward, and you will come to a clearing. Follow the boarded path across the rooftops and cross over to the other side. Now, take the ladder down to the section of land below.

You can push this rock off to get a surprise kill on some of the enemies below. Either way, you’ll need to wipe them out and continue moving forward.

It’s also worth noting that there’s some collectible pieces for the Four Fierce Axes Quest, if you’ve gone ahead and initiated that one, so you might as well grab them while you’re here. they can be found on the body, and inside the house on the table.

There’s a bell right here too, so I’d recommend giving it a tap and saving your progress, just to be safe.

Now continue following the trails of red thread forward, and you will come to a small camp with a fire and treasure chest. An enemy will now begin to attack you, but don’t worry – this fight isn’t very hard at all, it’s more to teach you the importance of parry and Ghoststep.

After defeating this enemy, the threads will recede enough to open up a path forward. You can now return the way you came, where you will find another ominous warning from The Hunt as you attempt to pass through.
